Water Dance

She dances elusive
among the floating lights,
so seductive they are
hypnotic in their beauty
awaiting to lure her in.

But she luminescent
like a ghost beneath
the liquid surface
which appears like a dream.

The world a lucid vision
where she lives suspended
among those vicarious
unlikely colors of a dark
existence .

And she no less a mystery
between the shadow and the blue
where melodies linger,
songs composed so rarely
heard by human ears.

You know Dark One, often when I read your marvels I feel like I've received a special invitation to a secret dream in a surreal palace for a select few. They make one feel like an honoured guest - the effect is so mesmerising it's difficult to describe in words the precise experience, but it's always good, and always an event

This puts me in mind of an Ophelia-like figure contemplating surrender to a watery grave. Or perhaps a Siren song. Atmospheric and haunting as ever.
