Yeah, i heard that louisa may alcott purposely didnt marry jo off to laurie because everyone - including her publisher - was forcing her to have jo married, even though she didnt want jo to be married. Having jo marrying Bhaer just gave her the opportunity to get "even" with everyone. i was very dissappointed that jo didn't marry laurie. this book would have probably been my all time favorite if she had married laurie. i kept waiting till the end hoping laurie would ask her again - but was severely let down. i guess i'll just pretend that she did actually marry laurie and that amy never existed. i really didnt like that girl. she had an eye on laurie since the beginning. jo deserved laurie - and he deserved her.
