Much too much. Life. Death. I see through layers of time, an odd archetypal blueprint. The spirit of everything. An infinite self perpetuating cycle. It engulfs me. I am the omega, the alpha, all and nothing. A sage of light. Invisible, in the street lamp's synthetic glow

Mytocologium

All in all an interesting read.

I love nonce words. Do you have in mind a definition for "Mytocologium"; is it the poem's protagonist, or themę, or mythos ?

"Much too much." - as if the protagonist is overwhelmed before becoming engulfed - though I'm unclear whether the protagonist is, or becomes your "omega" and "alpha".

I do have a problem with being "all and nothing" - though it might make for quite a circular kerfuffel in some discussions.

I do find "An infinite self perpetuating cycle." an interesting notion. Is it the process that is self perpetuating, or the protagonist's doing ?

And all wrapped up "in the street lamp's synthetic glow" - Invisable: unseen, unperceived. Delightful, and most curious.

Thank you for sharing. I look forward to more of your poetry.

This was quite original - and cryptic enough to leave one wondering what it was all about long after reading it.

But I thought this piece would have stood better without the rather hackneyed 'I am the omega, the alpha, all and nothing' which has been recycled so many times by so many writers. It adds nothing to what you are already suggesting by the 'self perpetuating cycle' phrase.

I apologize, I repeatedly mistyped my title. It should be "mycologium". Though, to be honest mycologium is not a word either. In using it, I was attempting to form the word mycology which is the study of mushrooms into something equivalent to "the place of mushroom study".

By infinite self perpetuating cycle is in reference to life.

The section that goes on about opposites was intentionally comprehensive and familiar it was supposed to imply the feeling of life being interwoven into you and having a feeling of oneness and understanding with existence.

In saying that I am invisible in the light I am stating that our interference with the natural course of life has taken the focus off what is really beautiful and ultimately depriving us of ourselves because the individual is one with the whole.
