Hi,

I write poems and I would love that people could read what I do. I put my poems in a blog, but I would love to publish them.

Does anyone know what is possible to do to try to publish them? What people do when they want to publish their work?

Depending upon what you expect, why not just post them here?

Or do you want them in paper form like in a book? Then the cheapest would probably to print them off at a library (or at home if you have a printer - which is preferable because you can choose the type and grade of paper - standard print/photocopy paper gets thick very fast upon folding)

Then when you have a few hundred of them leave them around the city for people to pick up and read

Estimated investment cost: $50.00 for printer, $10.00 for paper/ink

Estimated print cost: $10.00 for paper/ink, a few free hours of your time

There are many magazines that publish poetry. they don't pay much, but they do publish. Books of poetry are published the old fashioned way, but one must first be a known poet, so go the magazine route first. search for 'submission guidelines poetry', nd see what you get. You might also inquire with local newspapers in your area.
