‘Sorry,’ says Anna - ‘I’ve got the froobs’

‘I thought you said you had the flimps,’ says Hayes

‘Had the flimps - now I’ve got the frumbs...’

‘The frumbs now?’

‘The froogs, yes,’ she says

‘I don’t think you know what you’ve got...’

‘I do - it’s a symptom of having the fleeps’

‘The fleeps?’ I say - ‘Is that anything like the voons?’

‘Why do you ask?’

‘Because that’s what you had yesterday’

‘I had the veebs yesterday,’ she frowns

‘The veebs?’

‘Definitely the vorbs’

‘In the morning you had the vorbs,’ says Hayes, ‘but by the afternoon you had the frits’

‘And if you keep it up,’ Sally says, ‘today you’ll all get the fists!’

‘Had the fists last night,’ she says

'You haven't mentioned the frings...'

'I was hoping to forget about the frungs!'

'The frungs!'

'Sshh - not so loud. I think I might be coming down with the flurks'

'You can't have the flurks!' says Sally

'Too late - I've already got 'em - damn flawks!'

'I vote we leave her alone in case we catch whatever she's got'

'You can't catch the frinks,' she says, 'though I'm not sure about the floinks...'

Does the name Seuss appear back in your family line MM? You are master of your own style.

Like a Dr. Seuss poem about hypochondria! Very funny and original, MM. Indeed one of your best.

The phrasing is very catching. The words you invent generate their own self-sustaining interest without the need for an extra context. Neat.

This. Also, this is probably the most delightful poem I read in quite a long time.

This is so good MM. As a father of five I have read some crap at bedtime over the years and this would be a joy. You not only have a great talent but I would have thought a highly publishable and commercial talent, good fella.
