DIGNITY OF MAIDENHOOD
Eh! What has come over our maidens?
That they must incure such a taboo upon the land
A curse upon this blessed land of ours,
And our chaste ancestors before us.
Along every major way, they now ply a new trade.
One, alien to the days of old.
Alien to the morals of our ancestors of ancient times.
Hawking their bodies to that desire hungry buyer.
These soft moulds, mounds, and embodiments,
That is the landmark of the blessed people that we are
How rotten, such a trade of the maidens.
Nauseatingly, they hawk their wares when the night comes.
Like castouts they walk in the streets
From street light to street junctions
Never finding a place to rest
What has set this madness upon our maidens?
These ones who have thrown dignity to the winds
And morality they have discarded without a thought
Has it come to this, that the dignity of womanhood should be cast to scavengers?
That the pride of your virginity should be sold for such a price
Does it not tug a feeling in your conscience?
Oh! Maiden of our blessed land.
Oh! Maidens of our blessed land
The cost of what you have lost is much
I pray thee, gods of our ancestors
Keepers of our lands before the world saw life
Blow a cleansing wind over this land
Chastise the bossom of our maidens
That they turn their way aright.
