Hello? What's going on here?

You've blown a tube or fuse

Or whatever it's called these

Days and now I can't get my

Regular programs - a fact

Which is actually just as

Well - bcecause now look

Steamy bubbles bouncing around the screen in lots of colours

Then vibrating polka dots and colourful lightning bolts with a

Periodic explosion of swirling streamers - zig zags and jigsaws

And argyle patterns and checkerboard and houndstooth also

Spinning windmills of plasma blasts - some alien unpredictable

Rythm ever changing, never repeating, eternally mesmerising

Tomorrow I'll get a new television

But

I'm

Going

To

Keep

This

One

.

You have such a wonderful imagination MM. Your description of the telly dying is superb.

Am I wrong or is this almost like an ode to screensavers? LOL. I loved those last 8 lines. So funny yet forcefully certain!

Thanks Delta, though I'm not sure imagination had all that much to do with it really, more what I cut out to keep it experiential rather than angry - been angry a lot lately me, and it keeps not solving anything

Thanks MS - glad you got a laugh out of someone else's misfortune! Seriously, these things look great when they implode, and someone should market a purpose built perpetually implosive unit as a freaky ambience generator

You make static sound so interesting. I love how anthropomorphism runs rampant throughout your poems. Everything gets personalized.

I hadn't noticed that deryk, but it could be because I'm in this bind where I keep finding myself in front of computer monitors and television screens - even if they're tiny telephone or camera displays

I hope that that Nintendo 3D technology doesn't catch on - imagine that in everything!

We would begin being unable to discriminate between normal vision and whacked out super 3D (though it would look spectacular in implosive moments!)

The 8th circle of hell comes to mind. The division where the punishment is violent confusion.
