Hello all. I recently just read this book about 2 months ago for my class (The Jungle by Upton Sinclair), and we have an essay due over it.
There's some questions that I'd like to discuss with you guys that could help me better form my essay.
1. How does the title of The Jungle relate to the themes of the novel?
2. In what ways does Sinclair depict capitalism as destructive? Consider personal and social lives of the characters.
3. Do you find Sinclair's argument for socialism persuasive? How does he try to persuade the reading public to accept socialism?
These are just a few of the questions that I'd like some thoughts over.
Thanks so much for the help guys!
