WALKERS BAGS OF TASTE # 1

Walkers crisps should be forced to comply
With trade description legislation
And stop disappointing their customers
With their artificial flavourization

When purchasing a bag of Walkers crisps
The refined palate of an epicurean
Would be gravely disappointed if they did not
Taste of Rambler, Hiker or Pedestrian

WALKERS BAGS OF TASTE # 2

Walkers crisps should be forced to comply
With trade description legislation
And stop disappointing their customers
With their artificial flavourization

When purchasing a bag of Walkers crisps
The connoisseur would think it a mistake
If he was unable to detect the distinct flavour
Of sweaty cagoule and Kendal mint cake

Where do I buy these? I preferred #2 for its keener adherence to the rhyme scheme. I can't decide if I enjoy the word epicurean or connoisseur more. The second works better poetically, but the first made me laugh more for the obvious connotations.

I guess I've never had the (dis?)pleasure of having any of Walker's bags of chips, but your epigrammatic satire is as sharp as always.

Walkers - very english. You can buy them in speciality shops in Oz but the most popular are Samboy, Smiths and Red Rock Deli

Oh yes, Kettle. I'd say Pringles but potato chips that are identically shaped are just no fun!

Thank you all very much but I fear you all spend far too much time thinking about crisps.
Cheers

Walkers do make very good crisps, they always have a satisfying number of crumbs in the bottom to tip into your mouth at the end. I always feel like that's a bonus snack. And why is it that one crisp stolen from anothers bag always tastes better than a whole bag of your own ?
Maybe I should write some comestible poetry my self?
