If the rotation stops
whisper a poem
or heartfelt prayer.

When your heart stops
try a wry smile.

See where it goes
and what it is,
if it is anything.

Hi Munkin
it has a nice flow and I enjoyed it until the last line 'that it might mean', the syntax seems to break down there and possibly the grammar. I have tried replacing it in my head with 'it may mean' (dropping 'that') and it felt better. That is of course just my rambling opinion :)
cheers
Jerry

and wonder if anything, what it might mean?

we're more evolved out here - more space, sunshine...!

I like the poem for it's relative application to anything the reader chooses.

Love it, just do change the last line as Jerry said. Best, Bar

Ooh, I really love this one, and I think all of your edits, including chopping it into three stanzas and changing the last line, are for the better. In fact, there isn't a single piece of constructive criticism I could offer. This is a perfect gem as is.
