Breathe in.

Cross my legs
tap into emotional mindfulness
Absorb that crazy chinese pipa
What am I wearing to work?

Breathe out.

Empty my mind
of everything
Pins and needles
in my feet
Let the blackness go.

Breathe in.

Discover my state of consciousness
This cushion isn't as cushy
as I thought it was
Forget my bum.
Think only of flowers and birds

Breathe out.

Focus on their sweet song
inbetween painful twangs of peace.
Notice where my body radiates anger
My tummy is churning

Breathe in.

Greet the sun rising in the east
Let go of failure, sadness, regret
Acknowledge my loss
I think I need to fart!

Breathe out.

Thank you mother nature!

lol. Once you put a fart into a poem the rest fades to grey. Reminds me of a poem you wrote an age ago about curries. The fact I remember it shows the power of the fart. Use with caution :D

Yes, I suppose people will guffaw at a fart no matter what their age!

I laughed. I tried not to, but my self-criticism was too slow for my lack of age.

Yeah, I laughed too. Hey, if Chaucer could craft one of the finest pieces of poetic narrative comedy ever around a fart joke, then I see no reason why you can't!

Fart jokes? Goodness gracious! Though good that you breathed OUT after the fart!

Given the dramatic effect of the fart reference, it might be a good idea to make that the last line of the poem, after a blank line between it and the three lines before it?
