The eyes will see a shadow
The ears will feel a drum
Around the darkness gathers
Dark has become the sun
Lips will dry and crack
The mouth will lose its voice
All inside will burn and sunder
Seeking to leave a choice
But the hands still tremble
And the mind still tumbles
In a darkness no light will find
A great desert with empty time
Into a land of red and gray
the voices may find a way
Do I see beyond the horizon?
Can I wonder forever?
Time will slowly fade
Her hands will falter
Finally lie down and rest
your head upon the altar
The ears will feel a drum
Around the darkness gathers
Dark has become the sun
Lips will dry and crack
The mouth will lose its voice
All inside will burn and sunder
Seeking to leave a choice
But the hands still tremble
And the mind still tumbles
In a darkness no light will find
A great desert with empty time
Into a land of red and gray
the voices may find a way
Do I see beyond the horizon?
Can I wonder forever?
Time will slowly fade
Her hands will falter
Finally lie down and rest
your head upon the altar
