I was paying bills the other night and came across one for a speeding ticket I got. I was clocked at doing 42 in a 35 mile zone. OK, so I got a speeding ticket but I didn't even see a cop! They have cameras set up now that clock you, take a photo of your car and license plate and then send you the ticket via mail. You would think if they were going to sock it to you they would at least have the common curtsy to do it in person. Dealing face to face, my odds are better of getting out of it. .... It's hard to flirt with a camera especially when you don't even know your picture is being taken.

If you get caught for speeding, just accept the ticket and deal with it however the law will allow you. One speeding ticket is not that big of a deal, it happens to people, mostly when in a hurry to get to work or kids to or from school. If you live in an area where technology allows the police to regulate speeding... just go the speed limit. Walla, problem solved.
Driving fast can be fun if it's a road no one ever drives, but beyond that... slow down... We don't want you to crash!

Hello.
I read the other day of someone who, on receipt of a speeding ticket with photograph of the alleged offence, responded as follows:
'Thank you for your photograph of my speeding offence. I enclose photograph of my cheque.'
Not to be recommended, perhaps.
Regards,
Brahma.

I read somewhere a guy in New Zealand received a speeding fine for $160 after being photographed. He took a snapshot of the amount and sent it in but was foiled when the cops sent him a photo of a pair of handcuffs!
An elderly friend of mine feels the same way as you. She goes sweet granny on them and takes out her little photo album of all her cats and embarks on a long history till they say 'don't worry about it lady'!

LOL!
They also have Easy-Pass- you can use it to go electronically get through tolls. You place a small device on you dashboard that transmits ID information into the toll. If you speed through the toll, they take a picture of the back of your car (license plate) and send you a ticket. I have a friend how speed through so many times that she could no longer use easy-pass. She has to get in the regular line with all the schmucks, because they revoked her pass.
