I just finished Crime and Punishment, and it was a very interesting (somtimes long) ride. Those who complain about the length, I think in some ways it helps you feel the depth of Raskilnokav's anguish. Enabling you to experience his rebirth.<br><br>One thing that strikes me. IS that all this is based on the translation of the original work. We attribute this work entirely to Dostoevsky, yet the translator had a huge role to play. It reminds me of how we look upon the Bible, when in fact it is a translation of a translation of a translation.<br><br>I really wonder whether what I read resembled the work of Dostoevsky.
