So I see that we've pretty much decided on a pub-meet for UK-based LitNetters towards the end of July or beginning of August. Whilst we coagulate around a date, we also need to think about a venue.
The West End is obviously the most accessible district, though it'll always be crowded. We'd need to book a bar, or a part of one.
Southwark is probably less self-conscious than the West End (though, God knows, it's getting there), and cheaper, if we want to book.
The City is both busy and pricey, though Shoreditch is hip - with all that that implies, whether or not one likes the implications.
But any meeting in a pub would be a bit dishevelled and Brownian - so maybe we should think about informal and inexpensive restaurants with a pre-dinner bar.
If so, I have a list. Actually, more of a leaning. To be blunt, a tendency to topple to the side.
