So, what's everyone think of Charlie Sheen?

I love the whole thing. Makes for great entertainment, and he has made some wonderfully bizzarre quotes. I usually don't get into the celebrity crap, but this is just too much fun to watch.

I think it's going to end badly, though. I wouldn't be surprised if one of his "goddesses" ends up dead. I don't know how "winning" ol' Charlie will be if that happens. I'm sure he'll do it in a radical and epic way that displays his *****in-ness. It's on. Duh!

I believe the technical term is "bat-**** crazy".
I think it would be entertaining if it weren't so very sad.

I doubt the children find it as entertaining.

He could have started his own production company, hired the scriptwriters and actors, and either bought the 2 1/2 Men name or called it 'Charlie' - but no

I think it's a sorry case of existential mid-life crisis gone wacko because he was stuck in the same role for nine years (regardless of the money) without an acclaimed feature movie in that time for people to praise his performance - just Charlie's Chuckles 1/2 hour

Jerry Seinfeld walked away after nine years and found other things to do

Charlie couldn't even pull his head in long enough to peacefully read a book - and as far as his quotes go I think he really needed his scriptwriters

All he's doing is a public cry for help but he's surrounded by hangers on and too drunk and drugged and silly to listen to any advice

He needs a Doctor Phil Intervention!!!

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or if you've been living under a rock Jun, ;).

My favourite line to come out of the Good Morning America interviews is "droopy-eyed armless children." It's a powerful image.

Haha, that's what I get for only ever watching The Comedy Network and Space. I youtubed Charlie Sheen and I'm all caught up now.

My favorite quote is:

"I'm on a drug. It's called Charlie Sheen. It's not available. If you try it once, you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body."

Now would Mrs. Sheen like that very much?

I thought Charlie Sheen was cute. I liked him in that small role he had in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I really don't know much about what is going on with him, but he seems to be in a steady decline.

I haven't really given it much thought. I think it's sad for his family and his friends. I've witnessed a family member deal with severe mental illness as well as a close friend struggle with drug addiction. Those people aren't around anymore. It really isn't all that entertaining.

*shrug* Sorry to be "Debbie Downer". I must admit though that some of the comments of his that people posted here made me kind of /facepalm. He comes off as an idiot.

I'm starting to think he really might be manic-depressive. Apparently he's now heading into the depressive phase.

It was kind of fun to watch in a sort of horrifying way. Behind the facade of hubris and humor is a truly broken human being, though, make no mistake.

How much cocaine did Charlie Sheen take?

Enough to kill 2 and a half men

He never was my favorite actor, but it's quite sad. I am fully convinced that he is bipolar. He exhibits quite a few of the characteristics. One that stands out to me when he talks is his focus is always on himself and he seems to have 'delusions of grandeur', which is very common with bipolar individuals. He also rambles and if you look at his eyes he is very erratic in expression. I imagine all the drugs have not helped and altered his brain permanently. He says his brain is 'exploding' or some such like that that - that sounds like 'racing thoughts', also indicative of bipolar behavior. Most likely he takes the drugs out of obession, now addiction and to turn off the manic part of his brain. He points out that he is never depressed but one can have bipolar and only be manic all of the time. My sister is like that. I have a lot of insight into this disease since I have attended a lot of seminars to study and help her and my family and to cope with the situation. It's truly sad for the children and it's sad for him as well...a young man like that with such talent. His performance in "Apocalyse Now" was truly amazing.

Sad, shmad. I'm sorry if I don't feel sympathy for some ******* who's had everything handed to him his whole life. His kids? Maybe a little sympathy. Maybe.

I feel sorry for the people who go through depression and mental illness who don't have millions of dollars.

I sound soulless, but if the news reports he is dead tomorrow, the extent of my emotional reaction will be a shrug of my shoulders.

And now the news just in - it's all an extended act to get him out of the contract, to then enable him to sue WB for 100 million, and have a great holiday for the rest of his life

Go to Hell funnyman

Don't even rich kids who love their father deserve some sorrow? Why have a ration book for rich kids with psycho ****ed in the head parents?

I like him a lot more now, he's having a poetic crazy phase. I loved it when his pornstar and nanny girlfriends were talking to that haughty reporter with the moral superiority complex and he walks over and kisses both of his hot blonde ladies with the line: "look at these two, boom. Who's got it better than me?" Hahahaha, no one Mr. Sheen. What a guy. I'm going to enjoy Young Guns even more now.

Fun fact: I used to sell his girlfriend's movies to rig guys. She's... multi-talented.

Second fun fact: Charlie Sheen passed a drug test. The hell?

Re. the kids: there are more than one non celebrity kids who have it a whole lot worse (I drive past a slew of them running my town's trailer park without any shoes), but we don't spend too much time talking about them, now do we? It's that whole "Mrs. Lovejoy" syndrome. It makes us feel good about our own lives to look at famous people doing what we all wish we could do and yell out "won't SOMEBODY think of the CHILDREN!?!?!?"

I know what you mean. Part of me finds him a loser, and part of me is rooting him on. He isn't the first celebrity to do what he's doing--I'm sure other have done worse. He's just putting it out there. A man who truly doesn't care.

Oddly, those two parts care equally as little as to if his future ends badly.

I'll admit it: I've seen her talents in action. And, yes, multi-talented is one way to put it. Gotta admit, if I were in Sheen's position, I'd choose the pornstar who was willing and able to do any ****ed-up thing I could think of, also. I mean, if you're going to choose a pornstar concubine, might as well pick one who doesn't have limits.

Second fun fact: Charlie Sheen passed a drug test. The hell?

All we know about that drug test is that he handed them a container with urine. I doubt they monitored him in the bathroom. I'd be very surprised if he didn't plan on a drug test being requested. Hell, he probably has a stash of baby urine ready to go (i.e., SNL skit ).

GNC...

My favorite Charlie Sheen quote is the one about crack and how some users can "manage it socially."

Oh, and was Charlie Sheen in Apocolypse Now? I thought he was in Platoon...I don't know. Martin was in Apocolypse Now I know. Not sure about Charlie

I was pretty sure you were right so I looked up his filmography, and surprisingly he actually did have a part in Apocalypse Now, as an extra! (He was 14 at the time)

Wow. I was leaning towards not true because I thought Martin looked sooooo young in Apocalypse Now.

I still like him, he's just the pick of the 'crazy' actor litter at the moment, where all the focus is on him, when there are other actors who have 'problems' who have all the respect in the world. I think if he was a better actor (and he isn't a bad one, just has crappy roles) there wouldn't be this focus on him.

Everyone finally got tired of thinking Brittney Spears is fat (what idiots, if shes fat then I used to be obese).

I used to like him but recently I saw an article about his history with women. I think he's had assault charges against him from like three or four women. That seems a little squirrelly.

Thanks all for setting me right on that movie. I was thinking it was either Martin or Charlie...should have known it was the father back that long ago....duh. Interesting though that Charlie was an extra.

He is doing live-show tours now, each of which has sold out in less than half-an-hour in reasonably sized venues, and the tickets aren't cheap. I've heard each of his "shows" will involve some ranting, stories of him and celebrity buddies getting into wacky adventures, and home movies. Money well spent, I'm sure.
