Tonight, I decide to be silent
Far away from the sky
To be a low small tree
Not chasing the melody of the wind
Nor bewitched by the soft light

Bury my root into the earth
Keep away from the crowd
Hence to associate with the earthworms
Choose spring water and soil for food

Refuse the stars wrapping around me
With colorful clothes
Curl up, and bared my branches
Look forward to the next spring

I could feel myself curling up into a ball as I read this.

I like the implication of a tree during an introspective season.

Are you Ang's lost sister dear yuka ? Nature flows through your poetry so that even the earthworms didnt jump out and ruin the day.

There's a sense of peace, solitude, and reflection about this poem.
