I'm the tail and you're the dog
chasing me in an endless circle,
never quite reaching me.

You bark at me in frustrated desperation
then silence descends: it ends.
You eye me and lower your head, defeated

But I am yours:
I must curl up next to you
and wag.

Nice metaphor, ea, which at once suggests interdependence, but also inequality and subservience.
