I wasn't sure where to post this because I'm new to this forum, but I was wondering if anyone here had experience writing in a narrative poetry form? I was thinking of writing in this style for my extension two English major work at school, but I'm finding it hard to locate general information on it and I don't know if it can be written in any other ways besides prose. Any help/opinions would be much appreciated! I'm sorry if I did post this in the wrong area...

Poetry was born as narrative, but I doubt you will go writting epics... Check Tennyson, Elizabeth Barret Browning and Robert, Poe, Yeats... all have short narrative poems... La Fontaine fables are in poetic forms too.
