On behalf of my friend Janine, I thank everyone for the warm wishes. She's not feeling well at this moment, since a virus has caused a breach in her defenses.

Thanks Max, I will be back soon after I drag myself out of bed to eat some meager dinner - probably chicken soup. I am surprised no one sent me any remedies for my virus/flu/cold(?)....tomorrow, to be on the safeside, I am going for a chest xray. I think at this point I need antibiotics.

Ok, no more energy. So sorry I am late for my own party...it can't be helped this year. I will check in later to thank all of you in person. And
Max, I got news for you - I am not totally retired from such fun. I loved the video of the stripper! He was totally hilarious....I did enjoy it....never saw anything quite like it before....more on that later....

Ok, I am back and a little more fortified after a lovely dinner of chicken soup, small stuffed pepper minus the pepper, half an avacodo, wedge of cheese....just the feast I had hoped for for my birthday - NOT!!! I am now also fortified with oreo cookies, nasal spray and a Luden's cough drop....pure delight. I guess by now you all know I have been sick now for over a month. I am little worn out from all of this and frustrated, too. Tomorrow I go for a chest xray to be on the safe side. I feel like my hero D.H.Lawrence with his 'bothersome bronchials'.

Well, anyway, everyone did a fine job on my birthday thread this year. First off, Max, you are such an ace and a good great good friend. I appreciated your poem and it meant so much. Let's hope it is a brandnew and wonderfully promising year for both of us. I laughed when I got the antiviral cake - hey, you should patent those! Is that a canabas cake by any chance? At least, I could go out flying high. All those sparkly little rows of adorable emoticons - just love them! The candles on the cake won't blow out but I don't care - only ones I got this year so far. I am enjoying them.

Love the singing (kitty?) and balloons, too. You always do a fine job!

Hey, Claes, sure glad you didn't post 'bump'...I like your big red letters - really gets the message across. Those dancing emoticons are sure getting around - love them guys! Hope all is well with you and your family, too. Ah living with a teenager must be fun.:frown2: haha

Lulim, jmnixon95...thanks so much for your greettings!

qimissung, my dear dear friend...that is a sweet greeting...anything including my little may rose of a granddaughter is sweet to my ears. I only regret right now her and her mother both have this virus or the flu. She is getting better now and they said they plan to take me out to this neat 50's sofa fountain place that serves light fare and delicious ice-cream sundaes which Brooke just loves. It will be a great time if I can get well in two weeks.

soundofmusic, my other dear dear talkative friend - meet my match with you...and I love it! I love Shirley Temple. I have to copy this for Brooke...she loves kids singing, dancing, too. Funny little tidbit to tell all...recently Brooke asked her father if she could try some coffee so she would be grown up. I laughed so hard. I told her she wants to stay up late enough without coffee. She will love this video. ST was so adorable as a kid! Also Brooke just learned to curtsy...how funny. ST was really young here. Amazing kid.

MystyrMystyry - thanks so much - cool user name.

Snowqueen, my very 'beast' friend (a little joke between us :smilielol5:)...now we are talking....those cupcakes look to be to my liking....love vanilla with pink icing...cute candles, too....are they trick ones? Such a pretty display!

SilentMute, your's takes the cake! I laughed and laughed. First off the video operator was as bad as I am (sideways)....but the stripper was a total riot. He reminds me of some of my son's more crazy friends - they would do something like this - not sure they would get down to the g-string...but they would definitely clown like this. It's a gem and well worth watching. Do you know the guy? hahaha Hope you mom orders him up for you birthday. What a scream! Max was wrong... I am not too old to look or to enjoy the pure humor.

My guess on the L question would be the emoticon...maybe the one on the far right next to last...that one looks disgusted. For that matter, so does that green one in the middle.

bill and Helga and Scheherazade, thanks for the warm greetings. I will try to do that interview sometime later this week when hopefully I am on antibiotics and getting well. Presently my brain cells can only think for a short time.

Max, thanks for helping out with the midtime message. I didn't want anyone to think I was ignoring the thread or ungrateful. I saw it last night before I went to bed. It was too late to think of replies. It felt good to know I have so many wonderful friends on this site. That machine gun emoticon is a riot! Only you would come up with that one.

Haunted, my dear friend...thanks so much....who me, beautiful? If you could see me today you would retract that statement....but then again, beauty is on the inside; also a state of mind and being.

Paulclem, Frankenstein, or rather the creation, never wished me a happy birthday before. I feel honored. I love the book, by the way!

I think it's a regular choco-cake :) and I think it might be an alien kitty because of the wings.

Sorry you were sick for your birthday! That sucks! :prrr:

Glad you like the video:cornut:. I was actually a little worried, since I didn't know you that well.

I always said I would like a stripper--but I have to admit...I prefer to look than touch. I think I would have been embarrassed by how hands-on that stripper was.:wink5:

Anyway, I hope you are feeling better.

Sorry you were sick for your birthday! That sucks! :prrr: Yes, it did that for sure. I got the news today my x-ray was clear; however, the bad news is they won't give me any antibiotics or anything....said this virus can last up to 2 months! I nearly died. I am on my 5th week. It's not fun.

Glad you like the video:cornut:. I was actually a little worried, since I didn't know you that well.

No, I am cool with that sort of stuff. I will tell you a funny story about the bad boys at my son's wedding - later sometime...just a fool around photo they took - boys will be boys! Mother of the bride didn't appreciate it so much but I thought it was hilarious.

I always said I would like a stripper--but I have to admit...I prefer to look than touch. I think I would have been embarrassed by how hands-on that stripper was.:wink5: Me too, I would be squeamish about all that touching but it really was funny.

Anyway, I hope you are feeling better. Thanks; I am trying to rest and get all well.
