No (I Won't...)

The world stands still
in every moment we cherish
however untrue it is, it is our will
to believe in our ways until we perish

Is it so hard to believe in truths?
During my time so far
I have witnessed the conspiracies of faux sleuths
seen the scare of end, the scare of war

Fear in every decade of my life's path
Waves of sues, bombs, theories and disasters
I'm tired of living in front of a screen promising wrath
Tell me gods, tell me life beyond Earth, tell me of your masters

In the age of information
we spread the vital thoughts of idiotism
to which we are told of our life's consideration
pressing us to follow in any word that ends in -ology, -ion, or -ism

"Fight for what you believe in," they say
admirable, courageous, but leaves me dumbfounded
call me a coward, but we only have one life to live in our way
i don't believe that when you die it matters beyond the living that is grounded

For each trial, each event, it matters not
The world does not stand still
Life in fear, in denial, in any negative that shies us distraught
Is no way to live. However true it is, it is my will

"No," I won't be afraid anymore

this is my first time submitting... be gentle!

I feel you have gone for truth but tried too hard to be weighty. Simplify maybe and write the thoughts you have before you turn them into poetry. I am not to be relied on for advice.

i agree it's weighty, there's no denying it's not my intent either.

The poem seems to be too much of a personal testament, possibly lacking enough poetic expression. In a sense all poems are created from the personal point of view, but there just seems to be too many "I"s.
