haha, I missed that too, but only because the application recognised the word 'an' and I thought that I had typed 'and'... That was quite annoying, though it makes it go faster.

It just required a bit of lateral thinking, though the words which you use the most, you really have to think of. I was quite surprised to see 'because' there... 'As' was more logical as it has two possible uses...

I was quite surprised to find no 'tea' in there. I kept trying, but nope :p

I got lucky, a couple of mine were typos. I meant to post "it" and it registered "in," otherwise I probably would have missed it.

I tried remembering the Swadesh list but got only 57.
Then it turned out that I didn't know the 43 ones I missed anyhow. (with, but, at etc -who uses these words anyway?)

This website is really addictive. Mrs Neely and I have notched up the nerd account even higher and have had competitions on all sorts of things (with mixed results). Anything from countries, captials and the American states - you name it.

Part of this has been to have a break from work (and intellectual pursuits of the highest order), and part of it in order to feed one of my fantasies - to pack up work and make a living from playing quiz machines!

Don't give up the day job...
