I am desperately trying to remember who wrote about the neighbor grandmother that danced at night in her yard in her nightgown (and possibly army boots from a late husband?) Her neighbors all thought she was a communist. I thought it was a John Updike book...in the Rabbit, Run series. Then I thought it might be in John Irving's Hotel New Hampshire or World According to Garp..Setting Free the bears? I'm pretty sure not Cider House Rules. I'm scanning Catcher in the Rye right now, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't Vonnegut. Any ideas? I want to use it for a presentation! Thanks!
