IIRC, they were brothers, French, and the work in question was written during the mid-nineteenth century. I don't know if what I read were letters or a diary/journal. I think it was at least around 200 pages. The work described mostly their daily lives, which often involved hanging out with the well-to-do. I think their last name began with a G. Thanks in advance.
