Crackin' right to the point: there're two boys, and they're all BFF, but one day one of them reveals to the other to be this like, super omnipotent, grand overseer god fellow. I forget why, and also what happens after that.
I was almost positive that it was an L. Ron Hubbard work, because for whatever reason I remember it being the only interesting thing he's pooped out, but after reviewing his bibliography nothing seems like it could be it. Maybe I missed one, or something. So then I thought maybe it was an author I was interested in at the time, so I checked out Arthur Conan Doyle's works: nada. My only other guess was H. G. Wells-- science fiction, right-- but I couldn't find it in his works, either.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks bunches.
