Anyhow, how does one go about leaving a 'visitor message'? I've been trying to figure it out.

Hi and welcome to the site
Click on the persons name and 2 boxes will appear that ask if you want to view public profile or leave a private message. Go to the box that allows you to visit their profile. Once there, you will notice on the left side, under their name, their will be a little arrow next to the words send a message, click and it will give you the option of sending a private or visitor message, select visitor; it will then put up the message board. Then the person probably has his privacy settings on. You'll have to send a private message then...

Erm, sorry for the incessant posts, but it still doesn't work. Maybe it's one hundred?

The person may not want Visitor messages--only private ones. After all, the problem with Visitor messages is that the whole world can see them.
