Hello there,
I am a book seller. Actually, I am planning to build up my website but do not have any appropriate idea on what types of book photos to upload on it. Any suggestions?

The photos you use depend on the type of books you sell. I assume you are a seller of used books. It is almost intuitive that finely printed and bound books require more photos than less expensive books. This is the age of specialiation. Too many book sellers have a large inventory which they find hard to move. If you send me a pm concerning the books you intend to sell (general subject matter, publisher, fine printing etc), I might be able to be more particular. For example, as a seller of finely printed books, I generally have pictures of the cover, illustration(s), title page, and colophon.

Well, there are all sorts of books which I need to sell. For example literature books like shakespeare, blake, philosophical books like descarte, religious books like bible, books for schools etc...

Hello there,
Agree with you that good pictures of the cover, illustrations and amongst others can help you in your business. But, there is one more option which is you can have your books in hd and 360-degree animations (http://www.packshot-creator.com/product-photography/spinoza-flash-animations.html). For example, see Spinoza's philosophical book below:

You could have a categorized listing with thumbnail pictures of the book cover, for those browsing around looking for a specific title.
Then, on the individual book's web page, you would display larger, higher resolution, and different angle photos of the specific book - and if it is relevant, a few internal page pictures (like Amazon.com's "Look Inside" feature).
If it is a collectible book, maybe an autographed version, or early edition, photos that show that aspect can be included on the title's web page.
In case you're planning your site to be driven by a database, then be sure to use tags which allow you to present a "related titles" suggestion list on each book's listing, because many additional sales will come from those targeted recommendations.
Hope this helps.
