I totally stole this from another website who totally stole it from Oprah.

What are your favorite things in the world? Family, friends, etc. are already a given.

Mine:

My ipad:

http://cdn.venturebeat.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/apple_ipad_2.jpg

Loves it so very much. A month a go I didn't even see the point of them now you couldn't make me give it up.

My bicycle:
http://blackmountainbicycles.com/images/library/large/trek_75wsd_09_m.jpg

Especially during early morning rides.

Potato chips:

http://www.viewpoints.com/images/review/2010/80/14/1269200157-47379_full.jpg

mmmmmm mmmmmm.

Pop:

http://www.doobybrain.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/new-coca-cola-bottle.jpg

I realize it's completely bad for me. This isn't a favorite good for me things list.

And being a dullard, the list wouldn't be complete without live music (I even like street performers):

Innerestin'!

Portable computing - tick

Bicycles - tick (though if I was in your moccasins I'd get a bouncy seat stem AND a bouncy seat and it almost feels lke floating on air - and I wouldn't recommend riding in moccasins either)

Potato chips - tick

Cola - tick (though it isn't actually bad for you - just neutral, and the calories are good for riding up hills)

Music - tick

:)

Will post a more appropriate reply when I am not so sleepy and am capable of composing meaningful sentences but just wanted to be the first to post this. (http://www.popmodal.com/video/934/The-Sound-of-Music-My-Favorite-Things)

Here's mine:

#1 Running water

http://www.mo-rast.org/images/River.jpg

I've always thought that the sound of running water is about as perfect as there is in this world. And it's great for canoein' on, fishin' in, and drinkin' too.

#2 Cheap Brews
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_XYiLrMURRG0/TKYF3_QRStI/AAAAAAAACoA/pX81MUHTZ2I/s1600/PBR.jpg

The good stuff is fine every now and then. But cracking open can of cheap beer that's been coolin' out in the garage on cold winter day, the slurp of the first pull at the end of a workin' day. . . . moment like that makes you remember that nothin' really matters 'cept moments like that. Worth all the damn money in the world, those.

#3 Good Smokes
http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4084/5094807431_b3c12b1fb4_z.jpg

They're not that good for you. Unless you're talkin' about good for soul. Unless you're talkin' about good for the makin' one moment better than another. Unless you're talkin' about foul-tastin', better-make-sure-you-have-some-Trident-before-you-kiss-the-wife good.

#4 Garden Vegetables

http://pennythoughts.files.wordpress.com/2008/06/vegetables-compressed1.jpg

Clean, honest, & tasty.

#5 Well-read books
http://184.73.187.38/media/img/blogimages/dfw-delillo-book_jpg_470x550_q85.jpg

I like books that look like they've said somethin' to someone. And that someone said somethin' back.

Hospitals (I know this sounds weird, but keep in mind I'm going into the medical field..it's not the hospital itself, but spending time with the patients! It's why I volunteer at a hospice):

Great idea.

1. Processed parmesan shaker cheese. Say whatever you want about it being too salty, unhealthy, unethically made, gross, I don't care. I can and do eat it by the handful whenever I get it (which isn't too often, since I don't like to grocery shop and no one else will buy it for me 'cuz they hate the smell).
http://www.kraftcanada.com/SiteCollectionImages/ImageRepository/4/pro_ar_kraftparmesan.jpg

2. Fountain coke with lots of ice.
http://funkaoshi.com/abuse/pictures/20040123.jpg

3. Wind going through the leaves, especially these trees:
http://www.richmondnatureparksociety.ca/images/Birch_Tree.jpg

4. Bull mastifs.
http://www.abbotsfordtoday.ca/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/bullmastiffs.jpeg
Specifically, I love squeezing their neck skin. They've got so damn much of it! It's like a little stress ball. You can squeeze the skin on literally any part of their body, but they've got the most around their neck. They're great, heavy-headed, loyal puppies and I've never met one with low self-esteem.

5. Books.
http://www.freefoto.com/images/1351/06/1351_06_2---Books--Shakespeare-and-Company-Bookstore--The-Latin-Quarter--Paris_web.jpg?&k=Books%2C+Shakespeare+and+Company+Bookstore%2C+Th e+Latin+Quarter%2C+Paris
Duh.

6. People who are funny. They're actually pretty hard to come by.
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_h9y_mjzUf5Y/THwloilmw2I/AAAAAAAAB9I/x8FqajQHS1s/s1600/KIDS.jpg

7. Peasant skirts that look like this:
http://www.fashionclothingtoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/Peasant-Skirt-Plus-Size1.jpg

...but you've got to wear a bondage belt with it so that you don't look like a hippie and you get a tinkling bell sound when you walk:
http://www.crustpunks.com/images/bondagebelt.jpg

8. South Park. Especially Stan's "you know, I learned something today" speech at the end of the episode.
http://southparkstudios.mtvnimages.com/images/shows/southpark/vertical_video/season_14/sp_1404_promo01.jpg

canoein'...fishin'...drinkin'...coolin'...workin' ...nothin'...talkin'...talkin' ...makin'...talkin'...foul-tastin'...somethin'...somethin'
Affixing the letter 'g' to the end of a word....not one of your favorite things? ;)

I like my library card.

http://i457.photobucket.com/albums/qq298/Mr-Sack/photo-1.jpg

Something about the logo and its simple geometric shapes reminds me of the 80's--specifically, educational programming from the 80's. I feel like this library card wants to teach me something. Or convert me to the metric system.

^It reminds me of American Psycho. "Good coloring." "That's bone."

I love bizzarely large beds, with an inordinate amount of pillows, blankets and soft things in general:
