Amazon has announced that in the US it sold more e-books for its Kindle device than it sold paperback books in the last three months of 2010.

I suspect it'll be a passing fad. I remember one year when yo-yos suddenly became all the rage, and they sold hundreds of thousands of the things. 18 months later, most of them had been abandoned.

I went on a two year ebook-only binge. I am back on actual books only. It will pass.
