[Delta40]

Wisdom may be
the darkest of veils
crouched behind
the tree of knowledge,
ready to snatch
any passer-by.
Pounce!
Another body is dragged along
the rotting vegetation
of their life
and placed under the shade
of the tree to reflect.
Better to come by wisdom
through untold suffering
than to stay out of the wood
in blind ignorance

Those final four lines are tough to swallow and appear to be the distillation of painful experience!
