"odometer"
(curious question - why do the British say milometer, when they don't use the measurement miles, whereas in America, we use odometer, even though we use miles as our measurement?)
bounty
03-22-2015, 06:11 PM
here's what I got: This comes from two Greek words: Hodos meaning path or gateway [and] Metron meaning (loosely) measure. We now use the Meter to mean a device that measures and displays as well as the metric measurement for distance or length.
