this poem is called 'Mourning Miss Morley"
now she died in july i didn't find out until
christmas eve and i dreamed of her that night
i feel asleep with a tear in eye and i swear
i grieved like she was my best friend
empathized with dexter for the first time
since 1989... i was distraught, mourning
emma morley in the early hours of christmas
morning talking to myself like it really didn't
matter, like she was some fictional character...

I didn't pick up on the reference to "Dexter," which I regret because I'd have valued anything that gave me some insight into this decidedly strange but intriguing poem.
