Train is off its tracks
the lunatics have taken
the signal box.
Dickens ghost
runs to the tunnel
for sanctauary.
Whisky kicks,
I lick my lips.
Not poetry, my litnet friends
like you give a flying one,
but a live report
from a bit of life,
with MTV
and a christmas tree
with a laptop on his knee
about to dissect
another marriage
and another,
it wasnt you,
it was me .

Definitely a case of late night angst courtesy of some bottled firewater, jerry.
A real life anxiety attack mimicking reality tv - News 24 inside your own living room with the breaking news there for us all to gawp at.
As bleak as any of Dickens's - but of course there's the new morning to wake up to..... and catch up with what us LitNetters managed to make of it.

Stay on track my friend. Give us poetry, and go easy on the whiskey even though it's good crisis control . I know that line, it's me not you, used it too many times I'm afraid. But what do you know, we do give a flying one.
