I remember I came across a definition o one of the literary theories while searching about a poet few weeks ago
I forgot the name of the theory but I remember it's concerned studying a writer's work in relation to environment> can you help me plz what's the literary term is?

I need to know it plz help.

Historicism, New Historicism, or maybe even Marxist literary theory.

I've never heard of ecocriticism. Is there such a thing?

By environment do could you mean the natural environment: forests, wildlife, like general stuff like that? If so it could be some sort of mimetic theory. However, I suppose the better thing for you to do is study more.
