Openness, I've loved it endlessly;
night-time wind desending bright Venus
shakes dry grass
and envies my fidelity

Why shouldn't pen-strokes be sprawling
like these stretched and dreaming fields?

Smell of dirt, misunderstood-
the head is harsh
tail is honey.
Scratchy weeds itch your legs
Wear thicker socks, you dummy.

Look upon an open field, ask:
"What can I do with an open field?"
See? Magic.

This sounds so much like a writer, burning the midnight oil, faced by the open field of a blank sheet of paper.....

I particularly enjoyed the lines

Why shouldn't pen-strokes be sprawling
like these stretched and dreaming fields?

Another good one
