The ingenuity and courage
in merging these pieces!
'Bed of letters' has resonated
persistently and
peculiarly.

The author thanks you for...
very good critiques.
He wonders if
you might show him
where the piece is bogging down?

Actually...
rescind that request.
I simply forgot that
I already know what
I need to do and
how to do it.

Your admirer doesn't feel inclined to be anything;
rather, he is trying to figure out something.
Your reader was taken with
a perspective alien to him.

No,
I don't have a thesaurus
Dinosaurus.
Just ample amounts of insecurity.
And so I will assimilate your advice...
and subsequently watch
my creation become
bit-less!

The author barely
holds onto sanity
and apologizes
for any inconvenience rendered.

With great affection,
With gratitude,
The author bids you a kind return to form,

I rather enjoyed this sly satire. However I am conscious of a confusion of motive/address for some of the lines. The self deprecating author, seems to be adressing one or mulitple readers, but why would the author bid the reader a return to form? One is left with the conclusion that this is an internal dialogue between two aspects of the author's personality. The buzzing creative side and the detatched super ego of the critic.

This really is very clever.

Seems to me JoH that you copied and pasted expressions you have made to other lit-netters and woven them into an enigmatic revelation of the self.

creative.

Creative indeed - a poem about the insecurities of being a writer at the mercies of an ever-critical readership.

No critique necessary this time round.
