On a bridge that slowly swings,
I stand with my feet wet,
I hear not the flight of wings,
no sound of the beat yet.

Grasping the doors in my hand,
I recollect all those years,
spent in my beautious home,
secured with hopes and fears.

And musing at the marvel of life,
I felt the desires burn and rust,
thought of all the years i strife,
how all have fallen to dust.

Must below the bridge i jump,
or should I let it swing?
walk must I to the other side,
or wait for the birds to sing?

vunerable and insecure,
I darenot move my limbs again,
afraid i may fall into trouble,
or endure the pain again.

Then suddenly i see this ray of light,
coming from the cleft like gold,
falling from the azure sky,
on my wretched dress fold.

The rushlight glimmers on the tangled dew,
as I squint my eyes and flush,
a noble voice possess by few,
bades me to rush.

"O lady mine, away! away!
away you must steer,
gently move thee,to the other side!
fear not my dear."

the voice strike music to my ear,
as i moved through the bars and chains,
the sunlight creeps through my hairs,
and drips away the pain.

Reaching to the other side,
I hear the birds start to sing,
I look at the sky flogged with kites,
smell aroma the sweet flowers bring.

I can feel the grass beneath my feet,
see the beauty of lilies and rose,
I know God must have tread,
on these fortunate meadows.

Sure today it is rain,
tomorrow will be a sunny day,
Precious and dear will always remain,
the memories of yesterday!

Was the bridge swinging? It makes me wonder if the narrator originally jumped from the bridge.
