Hello,

I'm looking for books that are set in "small-town america" and books about regular blue-collar protagonists. It can even be something about teenagers or young adults in those rural/small towns in America as long it isnt your typical corny teenage love story.
Thanks in advance :)

First books that come to mind are Of Mice and Men and The Grapes of Wrath... not modern America mind you...

Tex or that other one by SE Hinton. Also, Stepehn King is all about small town and blue collar.

I echo Sinclair Lewis's works--especially Main Street.
