I think that George Orwell's 1984 was a very interesting and accurate book. I feel that this book is very important and that everyone should find the chance to read it. A lot of the things that he wrote were pretty accurate and in a way was a warning for the future. An example would be the telescreens in the novel, now we have cameras all over the place keeping people under surveillance and people are loosing their privacy because of these more and more everyday. Another example is the corruption of language in the novel, or newspeak. In our world now people have cell phones and are constantly texting with their own type of ways to speak, this is happening on the computer a lot as well. One more example is the ministry of truth in 1984, they controlled what happened in the past. In our history textbooks in school most of the things are not entirely correct, and most of the things told in our textbooks would be entirely different if it were written in a different persons point of view.
