Hello all, I am desperate to find a poem, I have been looking unsuccessfully for about a year now. It was a book I had as a child, and was basically an extended version of Hickory Dickory Dock. I can remember most of it, but would love to find it again as it holds fond memories of my mum who died very suddenly 2 yrs ago. This is what I can remember:

Hickory dickory dock, the mouse ran up the clock,
the clock struck one, the mouse ran down,
Hickory dickory dock.
I'm hungry now said mousey, I need a bite to eat,
so he tip-toed to the kitchen to look for something sweet,
.................................................. ........
...........and over on the window sill a cherry tart was cooling.
The sill was just a leap away and quicker than a minute,
Mousey landed on the top, and stuck his face right in it,
the cherry juice came bubbling out and stained his fur quite pink,
so mousey had to take a shower in the kitchen sink,
he washed his paws and wiped jaws and cleaned his furry chin,
and just as he was drying off, the old grey cat walked in.
"Hello Mousey" said the old grey cat "please don't run away,
you know I love you dearly and I only want to play"

The poem goes on, about a puppy and crashing pots and pans, and eventually mousey gets home in time for tea!!!!!!

If anyone can help I would be eternally grateful, as I am starting to wonder if I have imagined it all!!!!

Are you still looking for an answer to this?? I LOVED this book when I was younger and my sister and I put the whole thing together, I may have misplaced it but I remember some of it. The first part you are missing is, "he twitched his nose from left to right until he started drooling for over on the window sill....

This was my daughters favorite book as a child. I've looked all over and can't find it. I thought is was just a little golden book. If you have the book or even if you and your sister wrote down the whole thing, I'd love to have it. I'd like to fix a special gift for my daughter.
