Since black friday is coming up, I thought I'd buy some books. So I checked:

-Amazon.com, had some great deals for a few Bibles and stuff like that, but I'm not really interested. They didn't have much of a selection either

-Barnes and nobles: had absolutely laughable "deals", literally $16 for books I wouldn't pay $3 for

-Borders: same thing as b&n but somehow worse.

Anyone have any clues or ideas on places that will have/are having really good sales or extensive ones on books? Also, for actual books of merit like Shakespeare and not John Grisham? Or do they not do that because they assume people are forced to buy it via school anyway so they only sell, more or less, (im sorry for using this word, but they really are) garbage?

I buy a lot of books at Overstock.com. Really good deals and you can find just about anything.

abebooks.com. It isn't having a sale on Black Friday, but it is a cheap way to find the books you want for cheap.
