O'Brien said that during interrogation they beat the people to cure them. How is beating someone going to cure them? People die trying to be "cured". Does anyone ever really come out cured? Does anyone really come out at all? Why try to cure them when they are just going to be vaporized anyway? There's no point to it.

The people are cured according to the Inner Party. If this is what the Inner Party says is curing, then it is. Taking it as far as vaporizing them could just be the only possible way to "cure" them.

"Cured" to them means believing in Big Brother. The Inner Party accomplishes this by brainwashing the people that oppose Big Brother. They don't care if they have to inflict pain to prove their point, they just want their end result to be the person's change of opinion. People come out "cured" because they are taught to be believers.

That's True. ^^
The point of "curing" the thoughtcriminals is to make them a part of the society like everyone else. That's the main goal of the Inner Party; to make everyone the same. If those in charge of the beatings are able to instill fear into the hearts of those being attacked so savagely, then they will gain control over them and the people will do what they're told to do out of fear that they will be caught and beaten again.
If that technique doesn't work, then they start the vaporizations. This ensures the people refusing to accept the ways of BB and the Inner Party don't start a rebellion or become intelligent enough to question the practices of Oceania's society. Once someone is vaporized, they're gone for good, and are no longer a threat to the Inner Party.

This is a frequent flyer question.
It's all about perfection of doctrine. As you say, the guy's going to be killed, so why waste such enormous resources on curing someone before killing them.
Answer: The Party is compassionate.
You know how USA has a system where a defendant with intellectual disabilities cannot be executed for his crime? This is much the same, and at the very core of doublethink - the person is sick!
