Ode to the Moon
Oh Moon, your glowing mass looms
Over my quaint room tonight.
And as my head is perched on this windowsill,
Basking in the pleasure to indulge upon your enigma,
My mind ponders in awe.
The speckled stars encompass you
In the bleak obscurity of space,
But your stealthy brilliance
Enlightens even the smallest crevice
Of untouched darkness.
Your gloomy luster jaunts in silver shoon
Over the insignificance of Earth.
The rhythm of the hills and valleys of your surface
Renders in my ears.
Your boldness is inspiring
And your tantalizing light,
It blooms.
But the thing I love the most
Is the comfort and care
Your presence bears
Unto me.
