Golden eye
hot breath
breathing down
at my neck
keeping me
against my will
waiting for
my blood to spill

Pricked ears
black pelt
white fangs
heartfelt
turning point
of my life
run away from
teeth like a knife

Soft snow
hard ice
paws on my back
like a vice
shining fur
blood-red claws
tears at my flesh
a gaping maw

Cold blue eyes
freezing breath
breathing down
at my neck
the shadow wolf
of my fears
my last sight
as it does leer


and when the cold
is melted, gone
the rule of fear
has begun
leaping cross
the border of lies
specters fly
before their eyes

Chaos spreading
burning homes
their safest places
now their tombs....
