I know the claw
I need to make,
the one that turns you on.
Bare beside me,
your sexuality
explodes me to the surface.
Free momentarily
from the darkest sea
deep with threat and worry.
I need you now.
I need to be in you,
to release me
and I need to be in you
to complete this circle
once again.
But first I need to be clean,
I need to cleanse again.
I cannot yet grasp
your flaxen breasts
or hold your jaw in passion.
Whilst you sleep
I wander ensuite
like all the nights before.
I stand quite blind
before the sink.
I know the claw
I need to make,
the one that turns you on.

very erotic and sensual and yet I get the impression the guy has OCD? I'm probably way off mark here but I am willing to leave myself open to scorn and ridicule!
You write here with a sense of urgency.

I'm also guessing there's some word-play between turning the tap on and turning hs lover on - using the same hand posture presumably.
My only query was the image of 'flaxen breasts' and the focus on 'jaw' - is this perhaps a homo-erotic poem? or am I also as wide of the mark as Delta thinks she is?

I still think that "I'm With You, Dad" is your very best posting so far.
If you don't mind my asking, what are "flaxen breasts"?

Jer, I'm down with a cold and feeling out of it, so I can only manage a pithy comment, LOVE IT. I know you've heard this a gazillion times before in my comments on your many poems so it's nothing original so I beg your understanding. My brain is mush.

This actual give me impression someone being gay but in hetersexuality relationship. Fight the surge to true to their own sexuality.

Congratulations Delta. OCD it is. Well done Hill the paw is the one you make to turn the tap on and here I pictured the subject hovering over the tap, fingers in a paw to turn the tap on for obssessive hand washing.
No homo eroticism. I liked the sound of flaxen breasts and figured i could get away with it for straw coloured skin. As for the jaw... I pictured the lady led, head thrown back in passion and the subject holding her by the chin, or jaw.
Thanks for the wolf whistles Mary :D
Aunt Shecky, thanks, surely you haven't read all 96 though :)
Get well soon haunted and thanks for commenting through the mush;)
Thanks zoo, maybe Hill's reading of this influenced your thought. Or maybe not, as much can be read into all of our postings here by their very nature.
thanks all
