Outside the Window
Lattices of light green,
Speckled explosions of oval sunlight
Fringing the engulfing forest green.

Conundrum
Can quaint quotes console a soul
Who forgoes poise to the betterment
Of Foes?
Whose glowing gloves lap soothing
Vermouth, basking in scents of
Sandalwood and rose?
What gems can be found
In rows of verbose prose?

Idea
Wooden Chessboard, neatly arranged by my bedside
I am neither King, knight, or pawn. I am
the aggregate:The board, the parts, the tree that
provided the wood, the symbols representing and
that which is represented. You think I am a construction from
your mind, but it was I, the idea, that first
took hold of you.
Do not despise me in the name of jealousy;
for you are my brother.

like Idea

Conundrum - my tongue was tripping over itself reading the odd rhyming! I think a couple of glasses of red and I won't be able to read it properly!

Of the three 'Conundrum' is my favourite with 'Outside the Window' a close second. I like the idea of 'Idea' but feel it would be more effective if leaner. It's a little wordy and I feel the concept might be more tighly expressed. However, they are all good reading.

Live long and prosper, H

Thanks for the comments! I myself can barley say Conundrum out loud. The funny part about Idea is that in this form it was already trimmed down substantially. It's definitely a bit awkward.
