The wave of days

is a fragile beat on soil and sand.

The waves, it seems,

can only keep coming

and never slows down.

But there is a fluorescent secret,

Its bright in the night but its sound

is so loud that it’s not hard to be found.

These days have rhythm,

even when the waves have not yet risen.

We all have to see the things

that are yet to be seen.

Indeed,

These things are hard to reach

but soon we can live our lives

the way they are meant to be lived.

Optimism is how we should feel,

However, when bad things happen

we turn our eyes to the heavens…

LOOK DOWN,

Our answers are in the ground.

We can learn from digging down,

but no one is digging.

Listen,

This secret is not a secret.

You can scream it to a crowd,

you can yell it to a town,

but these words are only sounds,

and no one ever seems to listen.

So this secret is out of sight,

however this very secret might

Shine its light among the waves…

It’s a furious night-light.

Intriguing oppositions of waves and the ground, and how the poem progresses into a more serioius realm. I can't quite grasp the key message here but it's thought provoking nevertheless.

It is rather cryptic and yet hopeful.

"cryptic," yes, as Delta said, in the way that our most private conversations, though we have with ourselves, are cryptic. Lovely freedom throughout this and several of the rhymes, e.g. rhythm/risen, are a welcome surprise.

Maybe this is a question and not an answer. Anyway, I enjoyed it, though cannot point to exactly what it means.
Where it's musical in some places- and to me it feels like some of it has a hiphop quality to it, the beat crashes in others. In this couplet:
'Its bright in the night but its sound

is so loud that it’s not hard to be found.' ,
the 'not' throws out the three regular beats in the first line. Ah, it's 'it's' by the way. Oh, and the waves 'never slow down'. Unless it is 'a wave' of course, as in the first line.
I love the partial rhymes of rhythm/risen, happen/heavens, crowd/town/sounds.
'furious night-light' . I like it! :)

Thank you very much!! ^_^

I would tell you the meaning of this but im afraid of an immature religious debate to take place in the comments, and that certainly does not belong here.

The waves in this is meaning the rise and fall of days, or time, maybe.

Again thank you very much for your post!

thank you!! ^_^ The waves actually symbolize the actual days themselves.

Certainly intriguing. The rhythm and intermittent rhyme suggest the inevitability of time - and there is an answer (to whatever the question is) if we care to listen to the waves.

I found the format changes rather distracting. The words should be allowed to speak for themselves.

But overall this is not a bad piece at all.
