The children in Oceania are in control and have power over their parents. The children are in an education system that teaches them to love Big Brother. The kids will most likely grow up to be Thought Police.Why aren't the "older" people, or adults like this? The adults don't show the power that the kids have. Did the Adults have this education after Big Brother Came to power?

Winston and his peers grew up in a time period when there were many authoritative officials and Big Brother did not have total power over the government. This is why their education wasn't clouded with propoganda.
