Do you really think it is possible for the proles to overthrow the government? Even though they are the majority of the population, is it possible for them to cause a riot against Big Brother?

I really don't think so. They are not smart enough to realize the problems going on arouns them. Honestly I don't think they care about the problems either.

No. The proles definetely have the numbers but they do not have the motivation. The proles are not educated enough to care about what happens to them. The proles will fight about pots and pans but not about there own living conditions.

The proles won't rebel because they won't pay attention to anything else. They are poor, but not hungry. As long as they don't starve, they won't think to rebel.

The proles will not rebel against Big Brother. The proles may make up the majority of the population, but the party has complete control over them. The proles are brainwashed, uneducated, and not capable of showing emotion therefore they do not realize the amount of power they could obtain. The party knows this, so they give the proles porn, alcohol, and the lottery. As long as the proles are content with the simple things in their lives, they will refuse to see the "bigger picture".
