A friend of mine is compiling a collection of poems. Unfortunately, not many people are big into writing poems. I was wondering if anyone from LitNet would be good enough to contribute.
There are several things to note:
1) There is no money involved in this. However, my friend has a web site where the poems will be viewed: http://hunterstombraidertales.weebly.com/community-events.html
2) Poetry must be a theme related to Tombraider. For those of you who are not fans of this game, it is an adventure game. Lara Croft is an explorer who goes around finding ancient artifacts all over the world. She encounters booby-trapped tombs, enemies--mortal and immortal, many animals that like to bite and try to eat her...from spiders to dinosaurs to creatures that can't quite be described. She's encountered a few zombies, and quite a few people that want to destroy the world and start a new world order. Any poems dealing with archaeology, ancient myths, scenic sights in other countries, meeting a dinosaur or other mythological creature, etc. would be applicable.
3) You can submit as many poems as you like, but please no bad language or suggestive content. The game attracts young players as well as adults, and so the site follows "family" rules.
